What this area is for
Family Circle is an optional circle among relatives of one resident.
It is off until the home turns it on. Nobody is added automatically.
A private post stays private unless you clearly choose Circle.
Family Circle is still not a public page. It does not show Clinical records, and it does not add relatives of a different resident.
Before you start
- The home must enable Family Circle for that resident.
- You must already have your own Family Portal link and PIN.
- Joining is your choice. You can select Not now.
Step-by-step: join
- Open your Family Portal link and enter your PIN.
- If Circle is available, read the short explanation.
- Confirm that you want to join. The confirmation starts unchecked, so you must tick it yourself.
- After you join, you may see Circle posts from other joined relatives of that same resident.
Leave, pause or stop sharing
- You may leave the Circle. Other people then stop seeing your Circle posts.
- The home may pause the Circle. Active memberships close. People must join again later if the home resumes it.
- You may stop sharing one Circle post. Copied photo links for that audience then stop working.
Old Circle posts from a previous membership do not come back when you join again.
Questions people ask
Does joining let me see every resident?
No. Circle is only for the one resident on your link.
My brother is not in the Circle. Can he see my Circle post?
No. Only people who have joined for that resident, during the current membership, can see Circle posts.
I do not want Circle at all.
Stay on private when you send. You do not have to join.
